The DockDogs National Championships have several functions each year and one event is attended by just about everybody - the Friday Night Social hosted by the local DockDogs Affiliate Club. Just when we thought it couldn't get any more, uh, entertaining - the Des Moines DockDogs Club have taken the reins and are in the process of designing a Friday Night Social that you won't forget! As a matter of fact, it is so unique, you will be able to hear a pin drop! Sound exciting?!?

Welcome to League Night - DockDogs Style!

The Dubuque Convention and Visitors Bureau and Des Moines DockDogs Club invite you to mark your calendars for Friday, October 15, for a trip to the Diamond Jo Casino, in association with Royal Canin who will be the presenting Sponsors of the 2010 DockDogs National Championships, where a very unique bowling tournament will take place to help decide the 2010 DockDogs Club Challenge winner! DockDogs has reserved the entire second floor of the Diamond Jo Casino which features Cherry Lanes - a 30 lane bowling alley reserved just for the DockDogs community and a special tournament for the kids.

Des Moines DockDogs will host an 8 Pin Bowling Tournament which means that if you knock down 8 or more pins (out of 10), you earn a strike! Clubs will be able to submit multiple teams of five people per team. The top two teams from the East, West, Midwest, and Canada will be selected to participate in a Championship Playoff Tournament at the end of the night where we will crown the winning team, earning an additional 250 points for their DockDogs Club towards the 2010 DockDogs National Championship Club Challenge.

We need YOUR help! We are looking for a unique logo that will capture the spirit of this unique event. The designer of the winning logo will receive complimentary passes for a team of 5 people for the Friday Night Social. If you would like to submit a logo, please send your design to christen@dockdogs.com by Thursday, April 1, 2010. The design will be used on all promotional materials for the Friday Night Social as well as on a custom retro bowling shirt available for pre-order for the Friday Night tournament.

So, you now have about 250 days to polish those bowling skills!
