Medina, OH - April 30, 2010 - The 2010 STIHL® Dogs & Logs World Championships will be held at the Oregon State Fair taking place September 2-5, 2010.
As the STIHL® Dogs & Logs World Championships continue to evolve our program we are excited to take our high flying, adrenaline pumping event to a brand new region. This year the event will be held in the Northwest quadrant of the U.S. and is sure to draw a brand new audience that has not yet been able to experience the thrilling live action of the World Championships.
After much consideration DockDogs® and Lumberjack Sports International have changed the location to a venue that neither organization has visited before. "We are excited to take our World Championships to our West coast friends", stated Grant Reeves, DockDogs CEO. "We look forward to partnering with the Oregon State Fair and welcoming a new audience to the flying dogs and chopping logs world".
The 4-day action-packed competition will feature the World's best canines in all four of the DockDogs® disciplines. They will share the stage with ten of the World's best Iron Jacks who are vying for the title of the 2010 STIHL® Iron Jack Champion.
The beautiful mountain scenery and warm weather during Labor Day weekend are sure to make a perfect backdrop for the Outdoor Channel to film this event. Once again they will be on hand to capture the high flying action of dogs and logs.
